Michael Judson Sause's father was Richard Sause 1167.  His 1st wife was Mary Davis Sause 17650. His uncle was John Sause 2302. His brother, James Sause, had acct 15406 and brother Peter J. Sause had acct 63578; Michael Judson Sause's mother, Margaret St. John had acct 19575. Father Richard was screw cutter in tb, stonecutter in 1855, blacksmith in 1860; the sons were in the business of agricultural implements.  There was another Richard Sause of about the same age in NYC and for a time around Hartford, CT (more later)--he was a plough maker and may have been a cousin of depositor Richard.  Michael J. was a machinist who became M. Judson Sause, a well-known dance instructor and author of a book on dancing and etiquette.  Book (with photo) can be viewed here http://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/100008227   (original self-published 1880).

Michael lived with his family in 1855 and 1860.  He was with his wife and 2 sons in 1870; she died in 1872.  M. Judson Sause d. Apr 11, 1906 at NYC.  His obit says he was a native of Unionville, Hartford Co, CT.  But he was born in Ireland and didn't find him in CT.  The other Richard (possible cousin of Richard 1167) lived in Hartford Co, CT in 1870.  This is the only connection that I saw to this mention of CT in his obit.
