Sweeny, Matt Brennan, John Clancy, Judge Dowling and Superintendent of Police John Jordan…On the corner of Catharine alley and Elm street Edward Rowe kept a famous inn for a number of years and was quite influential in politics.

ROWE—At Morristown, N. J., of disease of the heart, on Saturday night, September 28, at a quarter-past eleven o’clock, PATRICK ROWE, for many years a resident of 56 Elm street, New York, and formerly of the parish of Mayne, county Westmeath, Ireland, in the 58th year of his age. The remains will be taken from Morristown to St. Andrew’s church, corner of Duane street and City Hall place, this city, on Tuesday morning, at ten o’clock, where a grand solemn requiem mass will be offered up for the repose of his soul. The funeral will thence proceed to Calvary Cemetery. The relatives and friends of the family, of his late brother, Edward Rowe, and of the Rev. William E. Duffy, are respectfully invited to attend.
