MOVING BEYOND "RAGS TO RICHES"

Francis Dugan, acct. 17114

Additional Information on Francis Dugan:

Francis was in the roofing business and did the roofing of the elephant house in the Central Park Zoo (First Annual Report of the Board of Commissioners of the Dept. of Public Parks for the year ending May 1, 1871.  New York: William C. Bryant & Co., 1871, p 399.)

Did not find an obit; notice of probate says he left significant bequests to employees (in his household in 1900) and churches.
