James Moriarty, a section hand on the Vandalia, was killed about one hundred yards west of the Junction Monday afternoon. He had noticed the freight train coming east, and stepped on the main track out of its way. While watching it he had failed to notice the Express train coming from the east, and it struck him, killing him instantly. He leaves a wife aud one child. He had been on the road eight years, and was on duty when killed.

KILLED BY A RAILROAD TRAIN

GREENCASTLE, IND., July 2—James Moriarty, a section-hand at Junction, while stepping out of the way of the freight train this afternoon, was struck by No. 1 east-bound passenger and instantly killed.  He leaves a wife and one child.
